BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 20, 2024 – In a world where quality and reliability in LED screen technology are paramount, LUMO proudly reaffirms its enduring partnership with Daktronics. Since establishing in 2016, LUMO has chosen Daktronics as its preferential LED screen manufacturing partner. Their unparalleled experience, deep knowledge and unwavering dedication to producing premium-quality LED designs have been instrumental in establishing LUMO’s position as a market leader.

“Starting day one working closely with LUMO and listening to their vision, it was clear they aspired to build a premier digital OOH network, incorporating the highest quality display technology,” said Judd Guthmiller, Daktronics vice president, International. “We are extremely proud of everything LUMO has accomplished with Daktronics as their trusted partner. They are truly a ‘best in class’ organization within the digital out of home market.”

Trust and mutual respect form the cornerstone of LUMO’s relationship with Daktronics. This partnership is not just about business; it’s about shared values and a joint commitment to excellence. Over the past seven years, LUMO has installed more than 50 Daktronics screens, a testament to the consistent quality and reliability they have come to expect.

LUMO CEO & Co-founder Phil Clemas says, “Trusting relationships have been the foundation of our business philosophy and our partnership with Daktronics exemplifies the value and importance of working with people you like and who are the best in their field.”

LUMO’s commitment to this partnership is stronger than ever as it looks to the future. The company is excited to announce that it will continue to rely on Daktronics for its LED screens, including those manufactured at its Ireland plant. Located in Ennistymon, near the picturesque west coast, this plant has a storied history. Originally established as a family-owned business in 1976, it specialized in creating LED screens for transport environments, including rail concourses, platforms, highway gantries and airports.

Daktronics’ acquisition of this thriving business in 2013 was a strategic move to enhance manufacturing capacity and improve access to the European market. Since then, Daktronics has invested millions into the plant, ensuring that it matches the high standards LUMO has always received from their US-based facility in Brookings, South Dakota. Notably, the plant’s CEO and Plant Manager are still part of the original ownership family, maintaining a legacy of quality and dedication.

Daktronics embodies the same values that LUMO holds dear: quality, pioneering spirit, authenticity and collaboration. These shared principles have made their partnership not just successful but exemplary. With plans to introduce over ten new large-format LED displays this year, LUMO is eager to embark on the next chapter of its collaboration with Daktronics, the world’s leading outdoor LED manufacturer.

As LUMO looks ahead, it remains committed to innovation and excellence. With Daktronics by its side, LUMO is confident in its ability to continue delivering unparalleled LED display solutions that set industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
