Ballyhoo Media Expands Commitment Beyond OOH with Volunteer Day at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station

Miami, FL – March 10, 2025 – Ballyhoo Media, a leader in waterway transit advertising, is proving that OOH media can make waves beyond ad space. As part of its Blue Beacon Program, which reinvests in the communities it serves, Ballyhoo recently brought together over 20 employees for a hands-on volunteer day at Pelican Harbor Seabird Station (PHSS) in Miami, FL.

 

The team worked alongside PHSS staff to restore critical wildlife habitat, clean up the shoreline, sanitize facilities, and feed injured seabirds, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the center’s rehabilitation efforts. 

“For our team, this day was a full circle moment where we got to be hands-on with one of our advertising partners and see the remarkable work they do in real life,” said Helen RoldanDirector of Communications at Ballyhoo Media. “As OOH advertising continues to evolve, media companies are being challenged to show their commitment to the communities they serve. For us, serving our community has been part of or company’s values since its inception.”

In the coming weeks, Ballyhoo Media will launch an OOH educational advertising campaign in partnership with PHSS to promote safe boating practices for the protection of marine wildlife, as part of a longer term partnership with PHSS.
