Billboard Artist Creates Huge Mural for Gruhn Guitars Nashville
If you’ve driven down 8th Avenue in Nashville within the past couple of years you’ve seen the amazing progression of a 95-foot 3-story hand-painted mural. The mural was finished in December of last year. The mural was painted by old-school billboard painter and artist Ron Sweeney.
Tasty Ad’s Shane Hutton is proud to have had a part in helping Ron design the mural in Photoshop. Hand-placing each guitar image provided by Gruhn and getting the overall layout just right.
Ron was a successful billboard painter for much of his life. Painting billboards for Met Life, Purity Milk, Country Club, and more. The Gruhn Guitar mural is the largest ever painted by Ron Sweeney.
