Lamar Advertising Donating Billboard Vinyl to Florida Residents Affected by Hurricane Ian
Baton Rouge, LA – October 3, 2022 – Lamar Advertising, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world, has activated its Tarp Team program to provide immediate help for the victims of Hurricane Ian in Florida. The Lamar Tarp Team donates and distributes used billboard vinyl to communities hit by severe storms so they can be used as temporary roof coverings by residents with damage to their homes.
Anyone can go to the Lamar Advertising of Fort Myers office at 14580 Global Parkway, Suite 104 to get a vinyl billboard ranging in size from 200 to 700 square feet from 9am – 5pm on October 3 and 4. Volunteers will be on hand to help distribute the billboards on-site at no charge.
“As a company based on the Gulf Coast for more than 120 years, we know firsthand the heartbreak and trauma of living through a hurricane,” said Micky Vint, EVP of Operations at Lamar Advertising Company. “We support and stand with the communities affected by Hurricane Ian’s devastation during this difficult time and we stand ready to help as the long recovery process begins.”
