Types of Billboard Structures by Horizon Structures
While the billboard face may get all the attention, what supports the face plays an equally important role. The billboard structure is what places the advertisement in the line of sight of the viewer, at just the right height and angle.
In the billboard industry, there are several different types of structure arrangements. Getting the right type of structure is essential to having a successful billboard that advertisers want to be displayed on. Depending on where you want the face to be and where the hole has to be in the ground, the connection between is where the magic happens.
Let’s look at some common billboard structure arrangements provided by Horizon Structures…
.
.
Structure Style: FLAG
What identifies this type of structure arrangement is that the pole is aligned to the far right or left side of the billboard face.
Why use a flag-style structure?
A flag structure is useful when you need to get your face closer to the line of sight of the viewer. For example, closer to the road.
.
Structure Style: CENTER MOUNT POLE
What identifies this type of structure arrangement is that the pole is aligned to the center of the billboard face.
Why use a center pole mount structure?
A center pole mount structure is great for billboards placed directly in front of the viewer. For example at the end of a road or in the curve of a road.
.
Structure Style: V-SHAPE HEAD UNIT
What identifies this type of structure arrangement is that the faces are angled into a V. A V-Shaped structure can have a center mount pole, or flag mount pole, or an offset extension.
Why use a v-shaped structure?
A V-Shaped head structure is used for double-sided billboards. The angle of the V is specifically set to give perfect readability and alignment to each side of the face.
.
Structure Style: LARGE OFFSET EXTENSION
What identifies this type of structure arrangement is that the faces are positioned far away from the pole.
Why use an offset extension?
A large extension is typically used to position the billboard face far away from where the pole location is.
.
Structure Style: OFFSET CENTER MOUNT w/ 360 DEGREE HEAD
What identifies this type of structure arrangement is that the head can be specifically positioned.
Why use a 360 head structure?
Once the column is set in the ground and the offset is put up, you can easily dial in the head to the highway with our 360 plate connection.
