Working with Logos in Tasty Ad
.
Logos can sometimes be challenging when it comes to designing ads. Sometimes they might not have a logo at all. Or their logo is square or circular, which doesn’t fit great on billboard ads. Maybe their logo has way too many words in it. In this post I will address all of these issues so your ads can look as best as possible.
Logos can sometimes be challenging when it comes to designing ads. Sometimes they might not have a logo at all. Or their logo is square or circular, which doesn’t fit great on billboard ads. Maybe their logo has way too many words in it. In this post I will address all of these issues so your ads can look as best as possible.
.
Let’s first address finding your advertisers logo. The “Smart Lookup” feature in Tasty Ad will be able to find a suitable logo about half the time. This is because smaller businesses often don’t have their logo in the same place online. Larger companies, franchises or chains often have logos that pull in successfully into Tasty Ad using the “Smart Lookup” feature.
.
We suggest always using the “Smart Lookup” feature because it will almost always pull in the correct address and phone number. If the logo that it pulls in looks bad we suggest downloading it from google and importing it into Tasty Ad. You may want to download their logo from the internet and upload it anyway to ensure the best logo.
.
If the advertiser has a square or circular logo what can I do?
.
.
In this case, we recommend using one of the templates built for square or circular logos. See below:
.
.
If the advertiser has no logo, what can I do? Use the Tasty Ad templates for “No Logo” ads.
.
.
.
The client may have a better logo they can send you but if you’re doing spec art this method will work just fine. As spec art creation usually means the potential advertiser doesn’t necessarily know you are creating ads for them.
.
Don’t forget to crop your logos when you upload them into Tasty Ad
.
This is something a lot of people forget to do. It is very important to do this so the logos will be as large as they can be in the Tasty Ad templates. As soon as you upload a logo a pop up window will be displayed asking you to crop the logo. You must crop out the extra space around the logo, dragging the crop lines up to the edges of the logo.
